Short version: your Markdown is converted on your device and is never sent to us.
Your content
All conversion runs in your browser using JavaScript. The text you type, paste or upload is not transmitted to this site’s servers or to any third party.
What is stored on your device
- Your draft and settings are saved in your browser’s local storage so they are still there when you come back. They stay on your device. Use Clear or clear your site data to remove them.
Share links
Share link encodes your document into the part of the URL after the #. Browsers do not send that part to servers, so the content is not received by this site. Anyone you give the link to can read the document, so treat it like sharing the text itself.
Cookies, analytics and fonts
This site does not set cookies and does not currently use analytics or advertising. Fonts are served from this site rather than a third-party font service. If this changes, this page will be updated first.
Server logs
Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and operations. These logs never include the text you convert.
Links in previews
Links and images inside your Markdown point to other websites. The preview loads images from their original addresses, and opening a link takes you to that site, which has its own privacy practices.
